Radical ideas are there but who is going to act?
Reform tax system by shifting base from income to wealth, it causes no hardship and funds the services we all wish for. It needs bold leadership to make this happen.
But as this article entitled Fishing for Funds in The Economist concludes: Today, no prime minister would dare to implement these radical ideas, least of all the timid, distracted incumbent. But the fiscal logic is brutal. If Britons want good public services, they will need to pay more. Real tax reform is coming sooner or later.
